Music composed by Kinan Azmeh

Music Instruments: Violin (Iphigenia), percussion/drums, clarinet, live sampling.

Singers: two men and one woman will sing all characters’ parts.

A chorus of dancers, surrounding the audience will accompany, respond, echo, give rhythm, complement and counterpoint the singers. They will generate the pulse of soldiers going to war, the cheers of the wedding; the lust for blood-sacrifice of the virgin, the bass of the requiem and the final cords of resilience and revolt.

Composer Kinan Azmeh will mix classical and modern as well as western and Arab music to create a rich polyphonic score through which the defiant melody of Iphigenia will bleed through the centuries.
